AUTUMN'S LITTLE LIFESAVERS
Did you know that reflectors are consumables?
Remember to replace your reflectors!
Did you know that reflective products are consumables and must be replaced when they are worn out? A thumb rule is that a reflective item has a lifespan of one to three years. Remember that all new reflectors you use from June 2023 should be marked with the new standard EN17353. This means that older reflectors marked with EN1150 and EN13356 should be replaced if it has been more than three years since you started using them.
When you shop with us at IDÉ House of Brands, you should be assured that we are a reliable partner. By this, we mean that reflectors and other products are safe and comply with laws and regulations. We have our own sustainability and product safety team that ensures we collaborate with the right partners - so that you receive safe products you can pass on to your employees and customers.

REFLECTOR DAY 1.10.2025
Surveys from Trygg Trafikk reveal that only 4 out of 10 adults regularly use reflectors. Children are the most diligent users, while men over 30 are the least likely to wear them. As Reflector Day 2024 approaches, take the opportunity to show you care, because every life matters.
Did you know that reflectors are actually perishable? They should be replaced more often than most people realize. According to road authorities, the average lifespan of a reflector is about 3 years. However, they may need replacing sooner if there are visible cracks, scratches, or if clothing with reflectors is washed frequently.
Using worn-out reflectors can give a dangerous false sense of security—turning them into a traffic hazard rather than a safety measure.
RELIABLE PARTNER - SAFE PRODUCTS
While correct labeling is essential for all promotional products, it becomes especially critical for safety items. That’s why we handle the quality assurance process, so you can always feel confident when purchasing from us.
It’s also important to understand the difference between reflective products and reflectors. A reflective product may contain reflective material, but it isn’t necessarily made from certified materials that meet official safety standards. Such products cannot be marketed as safety equipment. They may, however, be used for promotional purposes, as long as both buyers and recipients are aware of the distinction.
On our website, every approved safety product is clearly labeled with the relevant standard in the product description. Reflective products that are not certified do not include this information.
