IDÉ HOUSE OF BRANDS - OUR HISTORY

1987 - ESTABLISHED IDÉ
Morten Pedersen og Lasse Lauritzen establish IDÉ House of Brands. Turnover first year of 3.9 million, and with a profit of as much as NOK. 307,-.

1988 - TURNOVER DOUBLES
Turnover doubles the following year, and ends at 8 million with a profit of NOK. 250 000. 

1989-1993 - NEW INCREASE     
The adventure continues, and both turnover and number of employees increases. In 1993, the result was 26.5 million and the number of employees is now 11. 

1994 - OL YEAR
The big Olympic year in Norway. IDÉ has large deliveries with backpacks, caps, pins and textiles for the business community that celebrates golden days in Lillehammer. The turnover this year ends at 29.8 million.

1995 - PASSES 30 MILL.
IDÉ exceeds 30 million in turnover, and with its 11 employees IDÉ is a major player in the profile market in Norway.

1996/1999 - INCREASES TO 16 EMPLOYEES
Consolidation year where turnover rises to 38.8 million. Equity is steadily increasing. The number of employees iincreases to 16, and the management is looking for a suitable site to further develop the concept. 

2000 - ACQUISTION
The "Millennium Year" and IDÉ pass 43 million in turnover. Acquistion of Organizational Profile and M. Klebs & co.

2001 - IDÉ HOUSE IS BUILT
IDÉ moves into its own building in January. The IDÉ-house is now a reality, with its own printing house and a staff of over 30 employees. Branch offices are established in Stavanger and Trondheim. The turnover rises to an incredible 80 million. 

2002 - WE OPEN IN BERGEN
In the autumn of this year, a branch office will also be established in Bergen. The turnover will be 82 million. 

2003 - PASSES 100 MILL.
On the morning of December 16 at 09:45, IDÉ passes 100 million in turnover. By the end of the year, this will end up with a total of 104 million, as much as 20% over budget. This result is achieved with the same crew as the year before which is now approx. 40 people. The industry in general reports a slightly heavy year.

2004 - SINGLE ORDER OF 3.3 MILL.
January starts fantastically, with the company's largest single order ever: 3,330,000. A new branch office will be established in Lillehammer. The Stavanger office gets Norway's most beautiful showroom. In November, we set a sales record again, and we sell more wine and Christmas food than ever before. New Year is launched with a staff of 45 people and a turnover of 114 million. 

2005 - MOVES TO GLASMAGASINET
Again a year with "Best Ever", and a turnover of 128 million. The Oslo department will move to the 8th floor of GlasMagasinet on 1 May. This gives us 800m² of showrooms. New tenders have been won, and the year has given us a new, solid ballast into 2006.

2006 - OPENS OFFICE IN TØNSBERG
New this year is a branch office in Tønsberg and a subsidiary in Stockholm. The name is changed to IDÉ House of Brands, and we now have 65 employees. New turnover record with just under 200 millions.

2007 - ESTABLISHES IN DENMARK
The year started with a great January and the establishment of IDÉ in Denmark. We are also opening new branches in Gothenburg and Malmö.

2008 -  WE ARE FURTHER EXPANDING
We are moving into a new showroom in Stockholm in January. In March, IDÉ sponsored the Birkebeinerrennet. On August 1, we open a new office in Kolding, Denmark. This year we are ISO certified according to 9001 and 14001.

2009 - NOW ALSO IN FINLAND
The year started with a new subsidiary in Helsinki, Finland. It starts with two experienced company profiles, which have gradually increased to 15 people. The year will be a "difficult" year, but we manage to stay focused and win many new, large tenders. The turnover was again "best ever" and the group passed NOK 260 million in turnover.

2010 - INCREASES TO 95 EMPLOYEES
Again "best ever" with a turnover in Norway of just over 225 million NOK. Sweden SEK 40 million, Finland EURO 8 'and Denmark DK 12 million. In total, the IDÉ group is approaching the limit of 300 million. The number of employees has now increased to approx. 95 people. A number of organizational changes were made, and the optimism for the new year is great!

2011 -  EUROPE`s LARGEST PRIVATE PROPERTY HOUSE
In December, we are set to top it all with just over 280 million in Norway. Sweden is approaching 50 million, Finland and Denmark 20 million each. In total, the IDÉ group is worth an incredible NOK 360 million, and is Europe's largest privately owned profile house. Again "best ever"! This year we become a member of Ethical Trade Norway.

2012 - EXPANDS IN OSLO
The trend of "best ever" continues, and we can do it again this year. The showroom in Oslo is being expanded, and we are opening the doors to the 7th floor of GlasMagasinet in Oslo. The Oslo office has thus been expanded to 1600m² and we now have the industry's most beautiful showroom over 2 floors. We celebrate our 25th anniversary with our customers at Rockefeller in Oslo, and DDE makes sure that the evening is a memory for life. We are expanding our office in Bergen and Sandefjord, and opening a new showroom in Ålesund.

2013 - LAUNCHES NEW WEBSITE
We are moving our central warehouse to Langhus, where over 60 of the goods for 60 of our contract customers are stored. New website is launched with a growing and comprehensive product database.

2014 - UPGRADING ERP
We are opening new offices in Esbjerg - Denmark and Tampere - Finland. The IDÉ group is switching to a new modern ERP system in all countries.

2015 - INCREASES TO 140 EMPLOYEES
IDÉ House of Brands acquires the Finnish company Wulff Liikelahjat Oy and their 15 employees. Gets offices in the Finnish cities of Lahti, Oulu, Kuopia and Åland. In total, the IDÉ group now has 140 employees.

2016 - THE ARROWS POINT UP IN ALL COUNTRIES
After a couple of years of downsizing in the oil industry, which affected our departments in Stavanger and Bergen, 2016 was again a year with the turnover according to budget and with solid results in Norway. Denmark also delivers on budget, and finally there were positive figures in Finland after costly acquisitions in 2015. We end up with a turnover of over 50 million from our Finnish departments. Our new ERP system will be integrated in all countries from 2017, so that we again have a common system. This will effect our everyday lives. 

2017 - 30 YEARS ANNIVERSARY
In 2017, we celebrated our 30th anniversary, and once again have a "best ever" year for the entire IDÉ group! In December, a new milestone was reached - total turnover exceeded and incredible NOK 400 million. During the year, our ISO certificates were upgraded to the latest versions (IS0 9001: 2015, ISO 14001: 2015). Once again, we can prove that our commitment to sustainability, and our offer in the market, is strong and market-leading.


 

2018 - NEW PARTNERSHIPS
Exciting year where we laid the foundation for a new digital investment. We enter into a partnership with "Flisa Trykkeri", which means that we can offer our customers a total solution around warehousing/logistics/web, as well as printing services. This is a sustainable investment that offers good "print-on-demand" solutions and saves shipping costs. Also enters into a partnership with Swedish TED Bernhardz as part of our design initiative.

2019 - OPENS OFFICE IN ICELAND
Opened office in Iceland. When a new milestone with a turnover of 500 million. The major investment in uniform takes off with the creation of its own team and department head. IDÉ focuses on broad-based sales - total supplier of product media. Our work with sustainability is important to us, and we become a member of EcoVadis.

2020 - COVID-19
The corona year with a digital investment for the future and a focus on infection control. We press the express button and create a Nordic team to be able to have full focus on our Nordic customers. Efforts are being made to increase efficiency at each stage. New digital and integrated solutions are launched in all countries. Turnover ended at 490 mill. 

2021 - NORDIC INVESTMENT AND ANOTHER PANDEMIC YEAR
Nordic team has been established, and we are working on new strategies for new markets together with our customers. Strengthens the uniform team and works actively with new tender customers within new segments. As a part of our sustainability work, we become a member of CEMAsys. We launch our new website with the industry's best online store. Once again, we end up with a "best ever" result. In total in IDÉ group an incredible 600 million. Norway passes 400 million on November at 14.10 and Sweden 80 million the same day. In total, Norway ended at 439 million in 2021. Our fantastic employees make this possible. Now we look forward to our 35th anniversary in 2022. 

2022 - THE ORGANIZATION IS GROWING AND CHANGES IN THE MARKED

Another year of challenges as a result of the war in Ukraine and large price increases. This created new challenges with unpredictable costs for raw materials, electricity and transport. Despite this, 2022 was another "best ever" year for IDÉ. In total in the Nordic region, we had a turnover of NOK 681 million. In April, an agreement was reached between IDÉ and the Danish company B CONZEPT to merge the companies. The company was merged on 1 January 2023 and represents an important strategic acquisition for IDÉ. This is due to the company's position in the Danish market, as well as commercial synergies with our existing business. IDÉ House of Brands AS Danmark had a good turnover of NOK 140 million.

Furthermore, we continued our investment in the Nordic market and expanded in Stockholm. In the autumn we moved into attractive Barnhusgatan 16 on Norra Bantorget.

We committed to 2022 with several new hires to further strengthen the organization for the future. The uniforms group secured several large customers, which in turn create new references and opportunities. We are now a large organisation/family with over 180 employees. We believe we are entering 2023 in a still unpredictable time, but we have previously proven that we are quick to take swift action. That is why we are now tipped for a new "best ever" again in 2023.

2023 - THE GROWTH CONTINUESMeasures to Actions to reduce environmental impact are more important than ever. In 2023, we  become a bluesign® system partner and member of Amfori.
